Class ages are a recommendation. We do allow different ages in each class level if we determine another class is a better fit for the swimmer's skill level.

It is very important that our swim instructors are able to offer equal attention to all students. If a child is upset and having a hard time participating in their lesson, we will require a parent or guardian to be in the pool with them or we will remove the child from the class.

Swim Lessons

Swim Lessons are provided for all levels and ages, from basic strokes to competitive skills. All of our instructors are Red Cross certified and have many years of experience. Class sizes are intentionally kept small in order to guarantee each child gets the level of instruction and attention that they need.

Our swim levels are designed around a progression in skills that allow students to refine basic skills as they progress. The instructors are trained to add to skills only when the basics have become consistent, thus avoiding reinforcement of bad habits. The levels offered are based on completion and consistency of skills. Starting with water orientation and moving into basic locomotion and buoyancy as well as personal safety. From there they begin to build their skills in a logical progression. Once the basic skills are achieved, swimmers work on building endurance and can work their way into competition if desired.

5-8 years old

Monday-Friday, 10:45am-11:15am

Swimmers will begin to build endurance and swim the length of the pool with all four basic strokes. They will learn starts, turns and work on stroke technique in preparation for swim team.

  Sting Rays

4-8 years old

Monday-Friday, 11:15am-11:45am

Swimmers should be able to swim the width of the pool without stopping. They will be introduced to and become more proficient in the four basic strokes.

3-6 years old

Monday-Friday, 11:45am-12:15pm

The goal is to learn to swim across the pool using back and front crawl. We will work on getting swimmers comfortable and confident with swimming short distances on their own as well as swimming underwater, holding their breath and paddling.
